Project overview
Activating the transformative potential of cultural and creative industries and sustainable tourism in boosting the twin green and digital transition for the competitiveness of Central Europe
Many companies lack internal capacities for transforming their business models to a more sustainable one. The Capacity2Transform project promotes innovative business support scheme that systematically help companies to adapt and bring more sustainable products and solutions to the market. Project connects businesses, training institutions, research organisations and policy makers into a supportive digital, green and creative innovation ECOSYSTEM and supports the efforts of CCIs to join the international digital and green transition value chains.

Roadmap
Challenge
Capacity2Transform operates across Central Europe, focusing on the cultural and creative industries (CCIs) and sustainable tourism sectors. The challenge is to integrate these sectors into the digital and green (DG) transition to boost regional competitiveness.
Main problem
The CCIs and sustainable tourism SMEs lack the technical and management skills necessary for participating in DG transition actions.
Idea
What if we could equip CCIs and tourism SMEs with the skills and support needed to actively engage in digital and green transformation?
Solution
Capacity2Transform will develop a comprehensive capacity-building program to upskill these sectors, enabling them to contribute to and benefit from the DG transition.
How it works
1. Skill Development: Through e-learning modules, workshops, and peer exchanges, the project will enhance the digital, green, and creative competencies of over 1000 professionals.
2. Pilot Actions: Transnational pilot actions will test and demonstrate the validity of DG concepts, support tools, and delivery methods across nine regions.
3. Support Structures: Establishing long-term networks and supportive environments, such as the Knowledge Factory and Media Factory platforms, will ensure sustained capacity building and innovation.
Proof
The project aims to support over 200 SMEs, develop 90 DG action concepts, and implement 9 transformative actions. Success will be measured through improved skills, stronger networks, and increased integration of CCIs in DG transitions.
Impact
By empowering CCIs and tourism SMEs with DG skills, Capacity2Transform fosters innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness, driving economic and social value across Central Europe.
